My Prayer Journey

"Able to do exceedingly abundantly..."

Hi. My name is Dan Augsburger and I am trying to make a bit of a difference for God by sharing what I have learned about prayer, and how willing God is to answer prayer. Ephesians 3: 20 is so true!

There was a time when I did a lot of praying, but wasn't getting any answers. It wasn't a happy time, since I needed God's help in many areas.

So, I began reading everything I could get my hands on about prayer. During the course of that process I also read Andrew Murray's classic "With Christ in the School of Prayer." I was so blessed by what he shared on the subject of prayer, that I determined to practice everything I learned from the book.

Having learned
from Murray what the Bible taught regarding prayer, and praying according to those principles, I began receiving answers—lots of answers; so many answers I could hardlybelieve what was going on.

I discovered that God is still answering the prayers of His children "exceedingly abundantly above and beyond anything that I could ask—which was much, or imagine—which was what I held out for, according to God's unlimited power that was working in, through, for, and sometimes, in spite of me (Ephesians 3: 20).

I began sharing what I was finding with my friends and encouraged them to pray according to the principles of the Bible.

In the process of that encouraging, I also began compiling Scriptures and quotations that spoke to the subject. You find the result of those compilations on this web site.

The pages that follow are like a primer on prayer. Remember, study them sequentially. Many of the pages have additional links that you will also find helpful.

I hope you are blessed.
