1 gallon distilled water
3 carrots chopped or sliced
1 very large sweet onion
2 turnips chopped or sliced
2 parsnips chopped or sliced
1/2 diacon radish chopped or sliced
1 handful of spinach
1 large tomato chopped into large pieces
Fresh package of fresh basil and thyme
1/2 C yeast ﬂakes
3 tablespoons of sea salt or to taste
Put all ingredients together except tomato, spinach, and yeast ﬂakes together and let simmer until vegetables are cooked. Next add yeast ﬂakes and let simmer another 20 minutes. Finally add tomatoes and spinach and bring to rapid boil for 10 minutes. While soup is boiling you can add the brown rice cakes and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Your soup is ready to serve.
Brown rice cakes can be purchased at the oriental stores. You must ask speciﬁcally for Brown rice cakes or they will give you White rice cakes.
