2 32 oz cans diced tomatoes (with garlic and olive oil is nice, but others work well)
1 C dried black beans
1 C dried black-eyed beans
1 onion diced
2 32 oz cans of water
Cook in slow cooker on low for 16 hours or until done.
Additional seasonings can be added at the end.
Never put garlic in the slow cooker since it changes the flavor of garlic. Add at the end if desired.
Add water as necessary.
Softening the beans ahead of time is a good idea.
